[Cpcommunicator] Information for faculty advisors of transfer students #2

>From the Transfer Resource Center

In preparation for Advising Week, March 23-27, the Transfer Resource
Center is sending a series of broadcast e-mails for faculty advisors of
college transfer students.

Today's Question: What resources are available at CPCC to help me advise
college transfer students?

In addition to the CPCC catalog and the program evaluation in
WebAdvisor, degree check lists are available from the Transfer Resource
Center. These one-page advising guides list the program requirements for
the Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees on the front and
the general education core courses on the back.

You can print the degree check lists from the Transfer Resource Center
website here:

The Transfer Resource Center also provides faculty workshops for
advising college transfer students. There are two sessions this week:

*         Tuesday, March 17, 2:00-3:30, Levine Campus, Room 2215.

*         Thursday, March 19, 3:00-4:30, Central Campus, Terrell 500.

Register in LearnerWeb for "How to Advise College Transfer Students."
This workshop uses the program evaluation in WebAdvisor, the degree
check lists, and student scenarios to equip you for advising transfer
students.

Faculty are also encouraged to call the Transfer Resource Center at
704.330.6454 with advising questions. Our staff will be happy to consult
with you.
