[Cpcommunicator] SYMPHONY's coming!

In order to maintain our cutting-edge, web-based library catalog and
lending services, the CPCC Library is upgrading its entire online
catalog and circulation system. The new system, called SYMPHONY, is a
versatile, user-friendly program that will help the library continue to
meet the ever-expanding information needs of students, faculty, staff
and our community users.
All CPCC libraries will be closed during the spring break from March
9-14, 2009, to complete the upgrade and to conduct training for library
staff.
Although the physical libraries will be closed, CPCC student, faculty
and staff can still access online library resources 24/7 via our website
<http://www.cpcc.edu/library/> and/or by using our Ask a Librarian
<http://www1.cpcc.edu/library/Ask> services. Please be mindful that the
system (cataloging/circulation) will be down to implement the
conversion. This means that you will NOT be able to use the online
catalog to locate books, renew items or check out any library materials!
However, access to the online databases and other online resources
should not be affected.
We appreciate your understanding and patience during this innovative
transition.
