Assistant Technical Director (PT)- 6PRARTP-HNC-5. Assistant technical director position is available on the Central Campus in our Performance Facilities Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to directs the planning and execution of lighting, sound, and stage setup for events in performance facilities based on advance contacts and information from presenters. Trains and supervises part-time and student technicians to adequately service each event, under the supervision of the full-time technical director. Provides advance written and verbal information and recommendations for facility and equipment specifications and use, as well as cost estimates, to prevent presenters, including professional stage companies, academic departments, and amateur community and student groups. Provides staffing and service cost in computerized database for each event to facilitate billing and budgeting records. Provides regular maintenance or recommends contract servicing of staging equipment and technical spaces. Must have 6-10 years experience in theatre technical operations, and experience in multipurpose performance facilities related electronics. House Manager (PT)  6PRARTP-HNC-4. House manager position is available on the Central Campus in our Performance Facilities Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to  train the ushers on the evening of performances. Must be familiar with venue health & safety policies and evacuation procedures. Assign staff to emergency exit points at the beginning of each shift so that in the event of an emergency staff are aware of their individual responsibilities. Delegate duties to staff relating to their work during the shift, to include ticket collection, stewarding, program distribution or patron direction and assistance. Coordinate activities with the stage manager, technical director and other appropriate staff. Manage the ushers while on they are on duty, oversee lobby, seating and overall comfort of the theatre patrons. Act as a customer contact during performances, dealing with complaints and inquiries. Works closely with the Box Office, where appropriate, regarding ticket sales and audience composition. Organize staff breaks, ensuring that there is always adequate cover and that breaks are not taken at busy times. Liaise with other departments, employees and outside organizations to ensure the smooth running of front of house operations. Insure that the venue is policed for litter following each performance, and report any areas which require additional custodial or maintenance attention. Performs other duties as assigned.
