[Cpcommunicator] Heartsaver and First Aid classes

FREE Heartsaver CPR, AED and First Aid Certification for all CPCC
Employees
BeWell and the Health & Physical Education Department invite all CPCC
employees to participate in one of the free American Heart Association
Adult CPR & AED or First Aid Certification classes this fall. During the
class, participants will practice and then demonstrate specific skills
to fulfill course requirements. At the end of the class, if participants
perform the skills they will receive certification cards.
The class is limited to the first 15 people, contact Cynthia Smith #6726
to confirm your participation, register in Learner Web then pick up a
textbook in TA 110.
Heartsaver CPR and AED September 26 from 9:30 - 12:30 in TA 107
This course is designed for employee training at companies, businesses
or other entities. You will learn Adult/Child CPR with mask, Adult/Child
choking and Adult/Child AED. Skills testing with AHA Instructor during
course is required. Upon successful completion you will receive a
Heartsaver AED course completion card. Read the following pages in the
textbook prior to class: pp 1- 28; and 91 -123. Participants must pick
up a LOANER book M - R between the hours of 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. in TA
110.
Heartsaver CPR October 17 from 10 - noon in TA 107
This course is designed for employee training at companies, businesses
or other entities. You will learn Adult/Child CPR and Adult/Child
choking. Skills testing with AHA Instructor during course is required.
Upon successful complete ion you will receive Heartsaver CPR course
completion card. NOTE: This course does not teach use of face mask or
AED. These classes are not for students or work-study. Read the
following pages in the textbook prior to class: pp 1- 28; and 91 -123.
Participants must pick up a LOANER book M - R between the hours of
10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. in TA 110.
Heartsaver FA November 14 from 9:30 - 1:30 in TA 107
This course is for those who have a duty to respond to a first aid
emergency because of job responsibilities or need a general knowledge of
what to do in an emergency. This course teaches how to manage illness
and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.
Course content includes general principles, medical emergencies and
injury emergencies. Skills testing with AHA instructor during the
course and written test are included. Heartsaver First Aid course
completion card will be issued. Must read the following pages in the
textbook prior to course: pp. 1 - 89. Participants must pick up a LOANER
book M - R between the hours of 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. in TA 110
