[Cpcommunicator] College information to help you prepare in the event of an emergency
>From Jerri Haigler
You may be aware that Tropical Storm Hanna may bring adverse weather
conditions to Charlotte later this week. At this time, CPCC is not
anticipating any changes to the College's operations. We will continue
on a business-as-usual basis until further notice.
To receive weather-related information and closings or delays, you can
check the CPCC website, visit CPCC TV (cable channel 17), watch for
emails from the College, or call the CPCC emergency information line at
704.330.6888.
If you have not already done so, we would encourage you to sign up for
the Critical Alert Emergency Notification system. Through this system,
you can receive text messages as well as automated phone calls directly
from the College regarding emergency information. To sign up,
* Log in to www.cpcc.edu/snap <http://www.cpcc.edu/snap>
* Under Options, select Critical Alert Notification
* Enter the mobile number where you would like to receive text
notifications
* Enter up to two phone numbers to receive direct phone calls
from CPCC

The Red Cross has developed a video that provides helpful information
for individuals in the event of emergencies. It's a valuable tool. See
the video and related information at
http://www.redcross.org/services/prepare/0,1082,0_239_,00.html, and then
click on the Red Cross Ready promotion on the right hand side of the
page.
