CPCC community, who said being a geek isn't chic?
THE Geek Fest 2008 is being held at the Levine Campus next Thursday,
November 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. THE Geek Fest is a
learning-centered event that highlights the latest in technology and
innovations. Best of all, it is free and open to the public. Students,
employees, and the Charlotte community are encouraged to participate and
contribute.
Topics represented this year include inventing, simulation and gaming,
animation, green technologies and sustainability, e-learning, digital
media, biotechnologies, sciences and much more. Activities will include
vendor demonstrations and activities, guest speakers, webcasts, video
game tournaments, music, contests, door prizes and much more.

Come have a FREE lunch with us! CPCC faculty and staff who sign-in at
the "Festival Control Center" (room LV 1400) will receive a coupon for
lunch at the event.
Also note that we have conference rooms available. We encourage you to
"meet and geek" by scheduling your team meetings at Levine on the day of
the festival; meet, have lunch, participate and earn PD credit through
training sessions. Please contact Betty Baker at 4219 if you wish to
pursue this.
