[Cpcommunicator] Volunteer judges needed this week for work by cartography students
>From Chris Paynter
The Geospatial Technology Program invites you to attend a map judging
session in AT 204 on the Central Campus.
We are very excited about the final projects that the students in GIS
241 Cartographic Production have completed. Instructor Michelle Morrison
has done an outstanding job with the students this year, and everyone in
that class should be congratulated
Michelle has organized a review and map poster judging session and she
would like your input on the student projects. There are judging
guidelines and score sheets in AT 204, along with the projects
themselves. These reviews are not linked to the students' grades, but
your input will help us choose works to be sent to state and regional
map competitions in coming months.
There are three sessions this week when we would like you to come to the
Geospatial Technology classroom (AT 204) and review the maps. Your
review of the student projects shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes,
and staff will be in the room with you during these sessions:
Tuesday, May 6
2:30-4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 7
3:30-5:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 8
12:00-2:00 p.m.
Thanks for participating and we look forward to seeing you!
