[Cpcommunicator] Trial access to online Oxford English Dictionary until 10/7

The CPCC Libraries now have trial access to the Oxford English
Dictionary (OED) Online for a limited time.
The Oxford English Dictionary is the world's leading authority on the
history and development of the English language.
The OED Online provides access to the 20-volume Second Edition and the
three Additions Series volumes. New and revised entries are added
quarterly, and users can compare Second Edition and revised entries to
see how the English language has changed over time. In addition to
simple word searches, users can search for quotations by a specific
year, author, or work, pronunciations, parts of speech, or even words
that have come into English via a particular language.

http://dictionary.oed.com/entrance.dtl Trial access is for CPCC faculty
and staff and is from on-campus only. The trial period runs through
October 7.
