Marvin B. Rorie Marketing Scholarship
Students must demonstrate the following:
* Financial need
* Leadership, citizenship, and ambition
* Must be a graduating senior or CMS graduate
* Must have at least a 2.0 GPA
* Must be involved in extra-curricular activities
* Must be enrolled in Marketing and planning a career in Marketing
This is a nonmonetary award that pays for tuition, fees, and books. The
scholarship was established in 1983 in honor of Marvin B. Rorie, a
marketing instructor at Myers Park H.S. Mr. Rorie's life was one of
service and love for his family, church, friends and community. He
participated in many professional, civic, and religious organizations
and served as a mentor for many students and helped place many in their
first jobs that later became their life's work.
