[Cpcommunicator] Library's diversity-related new materials
>From Library Services
The Diversity Committee and the CPCC Libraries are pleased to announce
the addition of a new collection of diversity-related DVDs to the
library's circulating DVD collection. The new DVDs, a mix of
documentaries and feature films, offer viewers a glimpse into a wide
range of cultures, including Middle Eastern, African, Latin American,
and African American. One of the new DVDs, the feature film Sankofa, was
recently screened on multiple campuses as a Black History Month program.
The CPCC Libraries would like to express their deep appreciation to the
Diversity Committee for providing the funds for these welcome new
additions to the collection. The new DVDs can be checked out for seven
days and are available across the six CPCC campus libraries.
The library has also recently purchased new books on diversity-related
topics, including Teachers as Cultural Workers: Letters to Those Who
Dare Teach and Diversity in Counseling.
