[Cpcommunicator] ADVISORY: New Executive Director, Instructional Technology Services

Please join me in welcoming Mark Sivy as the Executive Director of
Instructional Technology Services, filling the vacancy created by the
departure of Celese Ward.
Mark comes to the College from UNCC, where he had been serving as
Associate Director of the Faculty Center for Teaching and E-Learning
since 2001. His areas of expertise include instructional and emerging
technologies, project management, e-Learning systems, and instructional
design.
Mark will work closely and collaboratively with all program areas in
Learning toward understanding the requirements, exploring and evaluating
options, acquiring and implementing various technology resources and
services. He will provide direction to his team in support of technology
equipped classrooms and laboratories.
In this role, he will coordinate the development of innovative new
instructional delivery systems and creative Internet and multimedia
software applications for instructional use. He will also work directly
with faculty and program/division directors for the on-going technology
planning process.
