[Cpcommunicator] ADVISORY: Direct deposit for part-time employees
>From Sue Mulligan
Secure, Convenient, Reliable, Safe.
Direct deposit is a safe and confidential method of providing your pay
on time. Your funds are electronically transferred to the bank account
of your choice on pay day, with up to three accounts. You may have a
combination of savings and checking.
Benefits to you:
* Saves you trips to your financial institution.
* Your pay is in your account on the 15th of the month
(Friday before only if 15th falls on the weekend).
* Saves you time in cashing/depositing your check--no
more waiting in long lines at the bank.
* Eliminates late, lost, or stolen checks.
* Your pay is deposited even if you are on vacation or
away from the office on pay day.
We will send a pre-notification to your financial institution (bank,
credit union, etc.) on August 15 payroll processing, and your funds will
be direct deposited to your account beginning with September 14 pay date
if we receive your direct deposit authorization form in Payroll by July
27.
On payday you will receive an earnings statement showing gross salary,
taxes (other deductions you may have), and net pay amounts.
TO take advantage of this great new benefit for part-time staff:
You must complete a Direct Deposit Authorization form located on CPCC
Payroll website <http://inside.cpcc.edu/payroll/default.htm> .
The form must be legible with a voided check attached which includes
your account and ABA routing number (9-digit number in the lower left
corner of your check, i.e.: 053000219) or a memo from your financial
institution that includes your account and ABA routing number.
The completed forms should be mailed through confidential cover to CPCC
Payroll Department at 1308 East 4th Street or can be dropped off at any
HR Express location noted on the website below:
http://www1.cpcc.edu/humanresources/HR%20Express%20Schedule%20Beginning%
20February%202007.doc
Important reminder:
If you close or change your account, you must notify Payroll
immediately. Otherwise, your funds will be returned to CPCC, resulting
in a manual check, which will cause a delay in receiving your funds on
time. This is your responsibility as the College is not liable for
insufficient funds in your account under any circumstances.
As a recommendation, be sure to confirm your deposit before issuing
checks/payments against the funds as you would your check deposit. CPCC
is not liable for insufficient funds under any circumstances.
