With the closing of Elizabeth Avenue from Pease Lane to Charlottetowne
Avenue (formerly Independence Boulevard), I am asking all faculty and
learning staff to be patient with students and visitors during this
long-term construction period. We need to increase our efforts to be
helpful and customer focused in explaining how to get from one side of
Elizabeth Avenue to the other.

Maps have been placed at 10 exterior locations around campus showing the
existing pathways. There are also signs that outline routes to the
middle of the Quad and other detours associated with the construction
work. However, we need to do more than tell students to "go to building
X."

Instead, I ask that you do whatever you can to help explain the
construction barriers and the safest way to get from point A to point B.

If you have signage or communication suggestions, please contact Wanda
Towler or Jerri Haigler. Working together, we can help minimize
everyone's frustrations during this construction phase on Elizabeth
Avenue.
