[Cpcommunicator] Current sales tax rate in effect until 8/1/07

On June 15, 2007, the College community was made aware of a sales tax
decrease effective July 1, 2007. Legislation has provided for a
short-term extension of the current sales tax rate until August 1, 2007.
Therefore, until August 1, 2007, the current 7.25% sales tax rate will
apply to Mecklenburg County. Until August 1, 2007, the 6.75% sales tax
rate will apply to all other counties in N.C.
