[Cpcommunicator] TED Talks conference on Central 3/1
>From Frank Granger
Have you every heard of TED Talks?
Each year, the TED conference hosts some of the world's most fascinating
people: trusted voices and convention-breaking mavericks, icons and
geniuses. This invitation-only conference is truly outstanding.
Through the technology of the internet, we will bring these discussions
to CPCC for everyone to participate.
Thursday, March 1, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Professional
Development Building, Room 319.
Come for part or all of the videos and discussions.
Free learning resources will be available.

This week's discussion:
* Jeff Han is a research scientist and the inventor of an
"interface-free" touch-driven, computer screen.
* Three minutes of fast-paced, whip-smart wordsmithing from
spoken-word artist Rives, who has some unconventional ideas about how
the internet should be run.
Presentation U. and the Futures Institute are jointly sponsoring this
video/discussion workshop. Open to faculty, staff and students.
Bring your imagination and an open mind.
