The Financial Aid Office is proud to advertise the Target All-Around
Scholarships. The Target All-Around Scholarship program rewards
college-bound students or undergraduate college students under age 24
who have demonstrated an extensive commitment to volunteerism and
community service. Now in its ninth year, the program will reward 625
scholarships valued at $1,000 each and one $25,000 grand scholarship.

Target All-Around Scholarship recipients are selected based on their
commitment to volunteerism, including number of community volunteer
service hours; volunteer leadership awards and honors; appraisal form
completed by a volunteer supervisor or leader; essay on volunteer
service; and grade point average of 2.0 or higher.

"Target is committed to making a real difference by supporting education
for students across the country," said Laysha Ward, vice president,
community relations, Target. "Target created the All-Around Scholarship
to recognize students whose achievements go beyond the classroom and
extend into the community through volunteer efforts."

Past winners of Target's $25,000 scholarship include Haley Reimbold, who
excelled in the classroom, but also volunteered as a staff member at a
youth leadership camp, and Sarah Glickman, who created "Living
Journals," taped conversations of people living in hospices and nursing
homes. Tapes were given to family members and contained interesting
stories, family histories, anecdotes and advice for future generations.
