SUBJ: Process CPCC Uses to Determine Opening or Closing



A decision to open or close the College during inclement weather is
based on the most accurate information about safety conditions on our
campuses and on the roads. CPCC administration consults with the NC
Highway Department, CPCC Security Officers, and other sources to make a
final decision. We encourage our students to make individual decisions
about whether it is safe for them to come to the College when there is
inclement weather. 

 

We realize that when public school systems are closed this may cause
problems for CPCC students with school-age children, and we have asked
faculty and staff to work with students who must be absent due to
childcare issues.
